This week, I had the incredible honour of attending the 25th Women in Business Awards (WIBA), hosted by Women in Niagara (WIN) and the Greater Niagara Chamber of Commerce (GNCC). The event celebrates women across the Niagara region who are leading, building, inspiring, and making a difference in their communities – and I was truly humbled to be part of it.
I was nominated for this year’s Entrepreneurship Award, and although I did not win, the experience was meaningful in ways that go far beyond the outcome. Standing alongside so many talented and resilient women—many of whom I admire deeply – was inspiring and energizing. It reminded me of the strength, creativity, and passion that fuel the Niagara business community.
Being recognized for entrepreneurship is something I will always hold close. Building and growing a business is never a solo journey. It takes a supportive team, loyal clients, mentors, and partners who believe in what you’re creating. This nomination is a reflection of all of those people, and I’m grateful every day to work with and learn from them.
WIN and GNCC created a beautiful event that not only celebrated individual achievements, but also highlighted the collective impact women have on shaping our region. From the stories shared on stage to the conversations happening around the room, it was clear that Niagara is full of strong, visionary women who are pushing boundaries and lifting others up along the way.
To the nominees and award recipients – congratulations. You inspire me. And to everyone who has supported me and our company on this journey – thank you for believing in what we’re building.
I left the WIBA Awards feeling proud, motivated, and more committed than ever to continue growing, learning, and contributing to this incredible community of women in business.
